Job Description:
Plastic Injection Molding Machine Technician w/Clean Room Experience

Five years minimum experience maintaining molding equipment/strong mechanical skills. Deep knowledge of injection molding, extrusion and compression molding processes. Ability to effectively trouble shoot the molds as well as the machines.
Basic press knowledge - ability to start up and shut down the machines
Knowledge of auxiliary equipment involved in plastics molding
Knowledge of small parts technology
Must know the materials: different types of plastic raw materials
Ability to track machinery maintenance records
Team oriented

Ability to understand and meet goals
Initiative and ability to work with limited supervision
Ability to use computer to generate data

Qualifications desired:
Lean manufacturing
Continuous improvement experience
Automotive and clean room experience - experience maintaining pneumatic molding equipment
Efficiency Comprehension
Single minute exchange of mold/quick mold change
SAP or Production Reporting System experience

Essential functions: Verify correct set up of molds, presses, extruders and auxiliary equipment for start up

Establish proper molding conditions
Assist with set up and maintainenance of all equipment
Maintain equipment with minor repairs or notify/contact outside maintenance as necessary
Train and track training of new Production Operators on procedures and processes
Responsible for meeting shift production goals
Responsible for maintaining housekeeping goals
Responsible for maintaining quality goals

Must be familiar with and trained on department inspection procedures, standards/quality and goals
Track production and prepare reports as required per quality system standards
Observe and enforce all safety procedures
Work with limited supervision during second shift and report all issues to the Production Manager

Physical demands: Ability to get inside the machines to work on them; sitting, typing, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, squatting, moving from one room to another, working with hand tools, walking. Specifice vision abilities required by the job include close, distance and color vision; depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Work environment: Clean room that requires clean room attire: gown, booties, hair and facial hair nets, Nitrile gloves; manufacturing warehouse; use of various chemicals such as acetone, rubbing alcohol

Performance standards: Inspection quality requirements, guidelines, and goals standards

2nd shift opportunity - will train on days.
